kvrkitchen is a Montreal-based pop-up restaurant project run by chef Kyle Roerick that travels the world creating intimate, memorable, and delicious dining experiences. After the amazing reception of last year’s summer dinner series hosted at Salt Spring Island Cheese Company, kvrkitchen will be returning to Salt Spring featuring dinners twice weekly for the month of August 2018.
Since the first kvrkitchen dinner series on Salt Spring Island, Kyle resumed his busy schedule of traveling around the world searching out new cooking techniques, foods, and experiences. In 2018, Kyle has been able to explore the foods and cultures of Oaxaca, Barbados, Japan, France, and Italy. He is thrilled to bring some influences of these magical food destinations to the table at his dinner series this August.
We are beyond thrilled to return to Salt Spring Island Cheese Co. this August for our second dinner series. August is such an idyllic time on the island; farms are harvesting some of summer’s best products, which are so fun to work with in the kitchen. This season, we will create menus working closely with local and seasonal ingredients from the island, while injecting inspiration from a variety of our international culinary experiences. - Kyle
Dinners will be at 6:30PM every Thursday and Friday beginning August 9th until August 31st. We kindly ask guest to arrive between 6:00PM and 6:30PM. Spaces are limited to 30 guests each evening. All dinners will be held in the garden at Salt Spring Island Cheese on Reynolds Road.
These are BYOB dinners and you are kindly asked to bring your own glassware if you will be bringing wine.
Please note that menus may slightly change due to what’s available from our farmers on the island at the time. The final menu for each week will be made available the week of the dinner. Thanks for understanding.
